If there were 6 stars, I'd give it one more! My goodness, oh my goodness, this is an astonishing place. We came in town for an event Saturday night and went here after church. It is fairly small but like dynamite, it packs a punch! They have breakfast and brunch and nearly everything is made from scratch. The biscuits were amazing with a slight sweetness. The sausage had a slight rosemary touch and I found out they make it there and grind their own. The real surprise and innovation was the "mashed browns". These were to die for! You must, and I mean must try them! They are little fried balls of hash browns, mashed potatoes, scallions, a little cheese, and egg. Wow these are good, and I got a little of their secret sauce to dip them in. We both had the classic breakfast sandwich, but I had sausage and avocado added to mine. It was epic! The coffee's locally roasted and they have a few brews along with nitro cold brew. They also have fresh kombucha on tap! The staff is crazy friendly and the service was excellent. I write a lot of reviews, but this one may top my list. I wish we had one of these near our house. Try it, you'll like it!
Surprisingly great food in the heart of Brookline! I went there because several of my clients were saying how great their breakfast was & they were right!
I got takeout & the employees & owner were so nice & thankful for my business.
I got the fresh squeezed OJ, and the classic breakfast sandwich which was to die for! I highly suggest getting it on their homemade buttermilk biscuits which are the best I’ve ever had- wow!
I can’t wait to go back again to try out some other dishes!
The place is very small inside & always crowded, so make sure you check out this hidden gem. The food & service is excellent!
Oak Hill Post is a great, community gathering place that serves delicious food and high quality coffee. We enjoyed coffee brewed using the Chemex method and it was divine. The food here is so very good. I had a biscuit smothered in country style sausage gravy with fluffy, buttery scrambled eggs. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming.
Oak Hill Post is an institution. Everything, from the biscuits to the jams and sauces, is prepared in house with the level of love and attention you might expect from a MUCH more expensive restaurant. To top it all off, the staff is a well oiled machine. Their level of dedication to excellent service is uncommon. It’s a beautiful atmosphere curated by beautiful people.
We are all of us so lucky to share a planet with this establishment.
I’ve eaten maybe more than my fair share of breakfast burritos, but theirs is by far my favorite. Also, smash burger on a biscuit? For breakfast?? Incredible. You’ll want to try the whole menu, but I recommend not trying everything all at once. You’d be uncomfortably full. Definitely warrants multiple trips.
Got the sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich… by far the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had and I’m not a big breakfast kind of person. The biscuit is amazing, sausage is a beautifully seasoned hand made patty! 👌🏾
WOW! An incredible breakfast. I am a big foodie and I particularly love going out to breakfast. And this place is now in my top 3. The pork belly toast is unique and fantastic! The French toast I could have eaten by itself but the lemon curd and strawberries topped it off perfectly. Their fermented hot sauce has a great taste and is not too spicy. The burrito was a perfect “comfort”/hangover breakfast food. The mashbrowns were amazing. We also got the special single serve French press- so tasty! The service was friendly and efficient. Prices were perfect for the quality and amount of food we got. We are sad that we live 2 hours away but we will be back someday!
Incredible visit from start to finish, with the staff truly setting this place apart—friendly, professional, and welcoming in every sense. The food was amazing; don't miss the smashed beef biscuit neither the French toast with house-made lemon curd or the New York steak. Also the basil lemonade was great!
A resounding 5-star experience, largely thanks to the exceptional staff.
A super cute and stylish breakfast place! You order at the counter, they will gladly explain the menu for first timers. There are many options big and small for everyone. Definitely worth checking if you are in the area.
